These barrels, once home to XO – Extra Cognac from the Fins Bois and Borderies regions of France, impart delicate floral and fruity notes born from the region’s distinctive terroir. Uncle Nearest Cognac Cask Whiskey is a limited-edition single barrel release from the Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tennessee. This expression is crafted by finishing Tennessee whiskey in 10–20-year-old cognac barrels sourced from a centuries-old French house. The barrels, previously holding fruit-forward and floral cognac, impart a unique depth and elegance to the whiskey. Bottled at a robust 120.5 proof, this whiskey showcases the brand's commitment to quality and innovation.
