This introduction to the Glenrothes distillery shows their elegant side, with a wonderfully dry expression that still evokes clover honey. Some old leather, cedar, and mace notes elevate this to a sipper, but it would make an elevated dry Rob Roy. The whisky opens with delicate aromas of banana and vanilla. On the palate, notes of vanilla, melon and cinnamon transition to a close that is smooth and lasting.
