Sammy Hagar is the multi-platinum Red Rocker, the front man of hard rock legends Van Halen, respected member in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and currently embarked on his fourth platinum career with his supergroup, Chickenfoot. Sammy's Beach Bar rum is named for rock-and-roll music legend Sammy Hagar. He opened a restaurant chain called Sammy's Beach Bar & Grill in Maui, and now a line of rum has been launched to complement the commercial success of the bar and grill.
Sammy's Beach Bar Rum claims to offer the "spirit of aloha". It is made with locally grown Maui sugar cane in the French "rhum agricole" tradition, which is a base of fresh-pressed sugar cane juice rather than molasses. It is aged for 2 years and then filtered to remove color and soften the taste.
Nose: Intense and wonderful aroma.
Palate: Lots of tropical notes of coconut & banana.
Finish: Refreshing and smooth.
