Product Overview
A lovely Weber Blue Agave Spirit aged twenty-four months in French oak.
Tequila is actually the name of a town in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave Spirit that we all love was named after that town, which sits at the center of Tequila production. By legal definition, Tequila can only be made from Weber Blue Agave in the state of Jalisco and a handful of neighboring towns. By legal definition, ANY agave Spirit made outside of that region cannot be called Tequila. Agave Spirits from other places can use any variety of agave they want and are usually called Mezcal. But what if you made a premium Weber Blue Agave Spirit to the highest standards — just like Tequila — but you were a few miles south of the official boundaries in the Morales district? Revel Spirits calls these "Avila" and was founded in 2012 to bring these Spirits to market for the first time.

We’ve told you all about Revel Avila. The Spirits are getting a ton of well-earned attention. Revel Avila Añejo starts with the same 100% Weber Blue Agave piñas, roasted and steamed, and triple distilled into a light and complex Spirit. Not only is the Añejo aged for a full twenty-four months, but it is aged in French oak. That is an extra step in effort, time, and cost that really shows attention to detail. And that attention pays off nicely.

Flavor / Taste / Palate - The palate has a surprising hit of pepper spice that opens up to an interesting Piña Colada note followed by raw herbs and earthy hay.
Finish - The finish is medium length, warm, and herbal.
