Description

Created by 3rd generation Maestro Mezcalero 'El Güero', Mezcal de Leyendas Maguey Pichumel Puebla is an artisanal mezcal blanco.  Expect a nose with aromas of fresh cut grass and vegetal notes along with flavors of raw sugar cane on the palate, rounded up with a dry finish. It's crafted from maguey Pichumel, an agave growing in difficult soils that's appreciated for the mineral, dry mezcals it produces. The agave is first roasted in a stone pit, crushed by a tahona stone, fermented in oak wood vats, and finally distilled in traditional copper alembic stills. Created in the small town of San Luis Atolotitlan, Puebla, in the mountains of Sierra Madre del Sur in southwest Mexico, this expression brings aromas of fresh cut grass and vegetal notes along with flavors of raw sugar cane on the palate, rounded up with a dry finish.
