The Cognac finish adds complexity and depth to the typical one-dimensional character of the spice of rye whiskey.  The typical dryness on the finish is replaced with a thick mouth feel with honey and orange.  A true sipping rye whiskey. Finished in hand-selected cognac casks for at least 9 months bringing Jefferson’s signature of innovating through maturation. 94 proof, higher proof than most Jefferson’s releases at 90.2 proof.
