Single cask sought after collectible bottling from Balvenie. Limited to 197 bottles.
The Balvenie invited three former Customs and Excise Officers to swap roles from whisky tax collectors to whisky selectors by choosing this year's The Balvenie vintage cask. The three, now retired, Customs and Excise Officers who helped are Ian Milne, from Fraserburgh, Lossiemouth based Gordon Cox and Tony Collins, who lives in Speyside. All chosen for the "?taxing' job of tasting and selecting the best cask of precious single malt. Rich and golden in colour, withh a rich and intense aroma, with a distinct orangey fruitiness, hints of toasted almonds and subtle spicy wood notes.
