Gul-Roo Tobala is produced in the community of Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca. The maguey Tepeztate used in this mezcal are cooked in an underground pit oven, milled by horse drawn tahona, fermented using open air yeasts, and double distilled in a copper still.
