The grapes come mostly from old vineyards with low yields, located high on the hillsides, 700-1000 metres above sea level. The vineyards are planted in mainly decomposed slate and gravely clay soils. The fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks and then spent two months in French oak barrels.
From the Bodegas Ateca Winery in Spain,Honoro Vera Garnacha Red Wine Blend has a pithy citrus, radiator dust and grassy aroma. A simple, plump palate is showing signs of flattening, while leesy, creamy flavors of pear and melon finish similarly. Drink immediately.
It exhibits greater aromatic complexity, richness with mineral and blueberry notes leading to a savory and spicy wine nicely balanced and very easy to drink.
