Porfidio Reposado Collectors Edition is not only made from 100% blue agave, it has been said to go above and beyond most other tequila brands on the market today. It is considered"100% Blue Agave Super-Jalisco". This type of rare tequila has half of the methanol content that other tequilas, and is produced viaenzymatic hydrolysis, not heat hydrolysis. Porfidio Reposado Collectors Edition is not traditional by any means. It is distilled by using German Hollstein Alembic equipment, and not by the same means as most other tequilas, by using Mexican alembics. Porfidio Reposado Collectors Edition has been aged in virgin oak barrels throughout its entie extended aging period. Other brands only age tequila in virgin oak barrels for processing.
