This brandy, or eau de vie de vin, from Martell is made by taking Martell VSOP cognac aged in French oak casks and finishing it in barrels previously used to age Kentucky bourbon.
Combining old-world style with new-world boldness, Martell Blue Swift is the first-ever VSOP cognac finished in bourbon casks. Hints of plum and candied fruits mix with the subtle bite of Kentucky bourbon for a one-of-a-kind flavor.
Martell’s signature process of distilling cognacs free of impurities leave it open to absorbing the rich aromatic tones from the bourbon cask. The result is Martell’s hallmark cognac style, characterized by delicate notes of candied fruit and plum, now complimented by the subtle sweetness of vanilla and toasted oak from bourbon casks.
