Product Overview
Denizen Vatted Dark Rum is a blend of rum from Guyana (80% of of the blend) and unaged rhum agricole from Martinique (20% of the blend). The Guyana rum portion is made from three different rums: 25% distilled in French Savalle and Wooden coffey stills and aged in ex-bourbon barrels, 25% unaged wooden pot still rum, and the remaining 50% unaged wooden pot still rum. Bottled at 100 proof.
Nose: Sweet, hot and funky - on the nose at least and all in a good way. A bit like candied banana dripped with molasses.
Palate: On the palate, the combination of rum styles, ages and distillates twist and turn, making for a fine sipping experience with easy heat and a clean if tingling finish.
Finish: Tingling finish.
