Maurin Quina is a sweet white wine fortified with an infusion of wild cherries, quinine and measured amounts of cherry brandy, lemon and cherry juice. It is versatile, elegant and subtle, an aperitif that is lovely on its own, and is perfect as a mixer. Maurin Quina has a delicate red hue, and bright cherry flavor with a quinine backbone. The subtle wine base elevates the array of wild cherry, with light lemon and almond notes.
Made from the maceration of cherries, quinine and bitter almonds in noble wines with a fruity and delicate bouquet. Can be served cool as an apertif, or as and accompaniment for melon as a starter.
Created in 1884 by Mr. Auguste Maurin in Le Puy. An Italian born artist later created the infamous icon of the green devil as the label for Maurin Quina.
