To craft La Nina del Mezcal ESPADIN, each agave that will go into the batch will be estate grown and matured for an extra amount of time after it has fully ripened, allowing it to capture an extra amount of sugars in the pina. This is also known as a late harvest or reposado en campo, giving our mezcal its distinctive sweet and spicy flavor and aromas.
La Nina del Mezcal began as the dream to create one of the best mezcals of Oaxaca. With passion and determination, she embarked on a journey through Oaxaca in search of the best producers. After discovering different regions like Santiago Matatlan, known as the World Capital of Mezcal, and going alongside my mother into the sierra of Santa Mar??a Zoquitlan, as well as the paradise of San Juan del R??o we found not only great mezcals, but incredible families that have been producing this majestic spirit for many generations. We have discovered that mezcal is not like any other spirit, and it is through mezcal that we have been blessed with the generosity of the very noble people who have opened their doors to us, for which we will always be grateful.
